Body Ornamentation

In the exhibit upstairs I found particular interest in a group of four photos. Each of the photos was in black and white except for one or two objects. These portions were vivid and brightly colored. In all four pictures the only thing in color was a type of body ornamentation such as tattoo, make up or perfume. I found it interesting for these things to be highlighted in this way. These ornaments have become commonplace and almost arbitrary additions to our everyday attire. In these pictures they stand out and express the beauty that has been lost when these ornaments are actually on the body.
