This piece, entitled Rotting Fruit, really appealed to me at the art show. The progression from ripe to decayed is both artistically and visually intriguing. I also like how the artist positioned the fruits in the order of the color wheel (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, violet) and made the background color for each fruit become dimmer as the fruit itself faded down its column. It made me want to photograph the progression of other life events and try to portray the effects of time in a single work.
